Since 1978, I have worked closely with long-term care and senior housing businesses, devoting the last 15 years to helping facilities in financial and / or regulatory peril. Some of my turnaround projects include roles in nursing home receivership, temporary management, and monitoring for the State of Michigan. I was also engaged by the State of Indiana, Office of the Attorney General, to evaluate the competency of Administrators under review by the Nursing Home Administrators Board for providing Substandard Quality of Care. These experiences have exposed me to residents in deep despair, including troubled facilities featured on ABC’s 20/20 news program. From high school experiences as a nursing home volunteer and nurse’s aide, to post-college management experiences in elite private pay as well as depressed inner city facilities, I am fully qualified to review cases involving resident abuse and neglect in your state.
